Ch Electra's the Windwalker
This red American Champion male was one of the USA's most outstanding
stud dogs of the 1980's for the number of top winning champion progeny
he produced.
Windwalker's reputation amongst breeders was made by the outstanding
success of his champion daughter, Ch Royal Tudor's Wild as the Wind (Indy).
Indy, who died in August of 1997 at the ripe old age of 13, is the only
Doberman Ch, UDTX in history. She also Won BOB at the DPCA Nationals,
was number one dog all breeds in 1988, and in 1989 won Westminster--the
only dog with an obedience title to do so. When she took breed at the
DPCA National, the dog winning Best Opposite Sex was her sire, Windwalker.
Jens Kollenberg described Windwalker as follows: "A tall, impressive
male with a compact body and a very deep chest. The topline is firm, also
when moving. Excellent angulation in the rear and good croup. The shoulder
could have been better angulated, the neck longer, the color richer and
the expression more noble. A male with much dryness and elegance of a
correct type. He was notable in that he retained his excellent outline
when he moved as much as when he was stacked up for me."
Windwalker was line bred on important American dogs such as Ch Gra-Lemor
Demetrius vd Victor. Windwalker represents and consistently produces a
deep chested type.
